All About Me

Shannon is a graduate student at Caltech in geobiology and planetary science. She recently matriculated from UC Santa Barbara with Bachelors degrees in microbiology and Spanish, and has been working with the Ponce Group since 2008 to identify the bacterial species diversity in Atacama Desert soil samples through DNA analysis.
